Home made bread

Bread is soft, fluffy, quick to eat and easy to prepare when on the go. It is simple to prepare just slap some sandwich meat on it and run or  spread on some peanut butter and fluff for the kids. There are a variety of breads such as wheat, white, garlic, cornbread, french bread, fougasse, banana bread  and many more types of bread.

This particular bread is the most common out of all breads white bread. It can be located at every super market and bakery or even at your very own home.

You will need…

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

2 packages of dry yeast

1/2 cup lukewarm watter

2 1/2 cups lowfat milk

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1 Tb salt

2 1/2 cups water

8 1/2 cups flour (about)   (Makes 2 loafs)

Now it is time to play with our food 🙂

Dissolve yeast in the 1/2 cup warm water, add cooled milk, sugar, oil and salt. Stir in 1/2 of the flour. Beat well. Mix in the rest of flour until dough begins to leave sides of bowl. Turn out onto lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic (8 to 10 minutes). Place in a greased bowl (bottom and sides) Cover with wax paper or a towel. Let sit in a war place until the dough rises. Divide dough in 1/2 and and shape it to place in a 5×9 greased  loaf pan. Repeat with the other 1/2 of dough. Bake near center of stove for 30 to 40 minutes or until bread pulls away from sides of pan. Remove and let cool on a wire rack.
